The popularity of cell phones are constantly increasing (pretty much all Peace Corps Volunteers have them). In addition, internet cafes can be found in the cities, but it may be difficult or impossible to get internet access in rural areas.
Similarly, electricity and running water is found relatively frequently in cities but not in rural areas.
